Eero Saarinen Tulip Table - Oval Coffee 29 x 47 Inch

The Saarinen Tulip Table is perhaps the most iconic piece from Saarinen's Pedestal Series.  Constructed of cast aluminum, the Saarinen Table flows from top to bottom and from side to side in a fluid exchange of lines. The Saarinen Tulip Table shown here is a favorite as it can be used in a variety of spaces, but is most commonly used as a coffee table.

Although controversial in his time, Eero Saarinen’s furniture remains popular 60 years after the release of some of his initial designs.  His focus on creating a harmonious setting for his furniture within the room was always at the forefront of what he considered necessary.  This philosophy was evident time and again throughout Saarinen’s abbreviated 51-year life.  Fortunately, this attitude continues to impact furniture design and architecture today.

This oval coffee Saarinen Table has an epoxy lacquered cast aluminum base in white, black, or silver and stands 16 1/4" in height. The Saarinen table base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. Saarinen table stone tops are protected with a natural wax finish.
